Ambuja Foundation recently launched three new skill training centres in Gujarat and Uttarakhand - taking the total number of SEDI to 27. The newly launched centres are in Rajula (Gujarat), Roorkee (Uttarakhand) and Haridwar (Uttarakhand).
Ambuja Foundation collaborated with APM Terminal Pipavav for SEDI Rajula, with a target to train 3700 trainees in the next five years. Currently the centres offer vocational training in welding, fitting, BPO, general duty assistant and PCB assembly operation. Nearly 10 students have already been trained in the first batch.
The centres in Haridwar and Roorkee is running courses in trades such as electrical, beauty and wellness and fitting-fabrication.
Ambuja Foundation's Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) has established a successful model for skill training and Ambuja Foundation currently has centres across 9 states in India.
