It was all celebrations at Ambuja Foundation when it was felicitated with 4 awards in the categories of Water and Sanitation, Rural Empowerment, Maternal Health and Gender Equality at the recently held ICC Social Impact Awards 2020 in Kolkata.
The ICC Social Impact Awards, an initiative of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), recognizes corporate entities, NGOs, and implementing agencies for exemplary work in social investment, CSR, and sustainability across India.
ICC, an eminent consortium of business organizations and a national chamber of commerce, honored Ambuja Foundation with:
- Winner of Clean Water and Sanitation in a Large Project
- Runner Up for Empowering Rural Community in Sankrail, West Bengal
- Jury Award for Maternal Health in Farakka, West Bengal
- Jury Award for Promoting Gender Equality in Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh
Over 70 award applications were submitted. An eminent jury shortlisted around 40 applications for presentation. Based on jury ratings and audience votes, more than 20 corporate entities and NGOs were awarded by Dr. Shashi Panja, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Department of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal.
Ambuja Foundation was declared winner in the above categories for its impactful work in West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and other locations. Last year too, the Foundation bagged the same award in the category of Employment and Enhancing Vocational Skills.
