Ambuja Foundation's Founder & Chairman, Narotam Sekhsaria
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are facing the worst pandemic in recent times. Our lives have changed — uncertainty and concern overwhelm us. The markets have stopped functioning, most are now working from home, and each of us is doing everything possible to keep our families safe. There are so many men and women across our country and the world who are selflessly working round-the-clock to keep everyone safe. This is perhaps one of the biggest challenges the world has ever seen. It is also a crisis replete with stories of inspiration and humanity coming together.
Yet I see hope and optimism. And I know there will be a better world after this crisis. As in the past, the present one too will be temporary. This allows an unparalleled opportunity to boldly reset our organization and emerge stronger and more resilient.
This crisis will bring, in each one of us, a challenge for individual and collective leadership. This is the time to show our courage and our capacity to face adversity with hope and determination.
We are part of two strong organisations — Ambuja Foundation & Ambuja Cements Limited — each with an unparalleled legacy, marked by exceptional stories of grit and determination. Our combined experiences will empower us to emerge from this crisis as a stronger company.
The world after COVID-19 will be a different one. We have already adopted new ways of functioning, like working from home. Be prepared to embrace the new world, as it will demand changes in how we operate and how we think. All of us should now consider how we will thrive once the current crisis has passed.
I urge all our colleagues to display solidarity by fully supporting the Government and each other to tide over the current challenge we are facing.
Stay home and stay safe.
Warm regards,
Narotam Sekhsaria
