Ambuja for Water – A Month Long Campaign on Water

Ambuja Foundation kicked off a month-long campaign (21st February – 22nd March) promoting water resource management across locations, with team preparing various activities in the communities to engage and educate children, youth, women and farmers.

A common event will be held across locations - ‘Wednesday’s for Water’ will dedicate every Wednesday to one activity on Water. Last Wednesday, the team organized ‘Jal Yatra’ – a water procession chanting songs and slogans on water. The most active and common enthusiasts seen at the event across location were school children and youth who are the future generation, planting a spark in them to save water for the future. They prepared their own creative posters and carried it through the procession.

Various stakeholders like community members, Asha Sahyogini, Anganwadi Workers were trained on Water Quality Testing so that maximum awareness was created on the water quality table in the communities and how to test their water. Farmers continued to attend workshops on micro-irrigation as well as introducing them to new drip systems.
