Ambuja Foundation bags 4 awards at the ICC Social Impact Awards 2020

It was all celebrations at Ambuja Foundation when it was felicitated with 4 awards in the category of Water and Sanitation, Rural Empowerment, Maternal Health and Gender Equality at the recently held ICC Social Impact Awards 2020 in Kolkata. The ICC Social Impact Awards is an initiative of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in which the Chamber engages with Corporate entities, NGOs and Implementing Agencies to recognize them for exemplary work done in the field of social investment, CSR and sustainability on a pan India basis. ICC is an eminent consortium of business organizations and the only truly national chamber of commerce today.

Following are the felicitations received by Ambuja Foundation: 1. Winner of Clean Water and Sanitation in a Large Project 2. Runner Up for Empowering Rural Community in Sankrail, West Bengal 3. Jury Award for Maternal Health in Farakka, West Bengal 4. Jury Award for Promoting Gender Equality in Bhatapara, Chattisgarh More than 70 award applications were submitted from which an eminent jury shortlisted around 40 applications for a presentation round. Based on jury ratings and audience votes after the presentation, more than 20 corporate entities and NGOs were awarded by Dr. Shashi Panja, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) Department of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare - Govt. of West Bengal.

Based on the presentation and votes, Ambuja Foundation was declared winner in the above categories for its work in the states of West Bengal, Chattisgarh and other locations. Last year also, Ambuja Foundation bagged the same award in the category of Employment and Enhancing Vocational Skills.
