AMK wins at the Punjab State Level Cultural Competition

Ambuja Manovikas Kendra (AMK), won the Overall Championship for the 5th time in a row at the Punjab State Level Cultural Competition – Umang 2023. The event is the 5th Punjab State-level Cultural Competition organised by the Special Olympics Bharat, Punjab in collaboration with Ashadeep welfare society organized for the intellectually disabled students and special teachers.


The Special Olympics Bharat is the National Sports Federation that uses sports as a catalyst to transform the lives of children and adults with intellectual disability. About 300 participants from 22 special schools of Punjab were the part of this competition including 19 members delegation of AMK (13 students + 06 teachers).


It’s a matter of great pleasure that the AMK team including teachers performed exceptionally well and proved their excellence in cultural activities and were awarded with Overall Championship Trophy, 5th time in a row.

The AMK team performed exceptionally by bagging the first position in all categories scoring maximum points that led to securing the championship trophy and cash prize. AMK caters to over 115 children, all broadly fitting into the category of intellectually challenged, and provides them with a conducive environment and appropriate education and therapy tailored to meet individual developmental needs.

Winning the ultimate title for the fifth time in a row is the result of continuous practice, sheer hard work, determination and focus on quality. Celebration and Excitement was filled in the AMK campus due to the win.
