Pearl Tiwari on CNNs 'Jal Daan'

Ambuja Foundation's Director, Pearl Tiwari, featured on CNN in December 2016 as part of Aquaguard & Network 18's 'Jal Daan' program - a 6 month national awareness campaign to create cognizance and highlight the importance of water for both urban and rural India.

Pearl was one of a panel of eminent personalities such as Mr AK Singh Gupta, Senior Advisor Sulabh International; Nusrat Pathan, CSR Head HDFC Bank; and Dr KK Upadhyay, former CSR Head FICCI, and advisor to the National Skills Foundation of India, who discussed the pressing challenges around access to safe drinking water in India.

In her interview, Pearl Tiwari highlighted the important role that water plays in rural prosperity. "In our own experience we have seen that everything about rural prosperity circles around water."

She also stressed the need for greater collaboration between corporates to address the problem collectively.

CNN's 'Jal Daan' campaign is envisioned to sensitize viewers towards the importance of clean drinking water and the challenges the nation is facing on account of its scarcity.
