Ambuja Foundation wins the Best CSR & Sustainability Practices Award

Ambuja Foundation was conferred with the Best CSR & Sustainability Practices Award 2017, by the Asia Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability - a reputed, independent institution working to bring about qualitative improvements in corporate governance and sustainability practices of Asian companies.

Ambuja Foundation won this award for its strong belief in building the strength of local communities, and for energizing, enabling and involving communities to realize their potential.

Elated over the recognition, CEO of Ambuja Foundation Pearl Tiwari said "It's indeed a proud moment for us. The outcomes are the combined efforts of our existing partners, communities and the dedicated teams working at the ground level, reaching out to over two million people.

"Over 25 years of strong experience as an implementation agency for various initiatives has stood us in good stead and gives us further impetus to do more in every thrust area we are operating in" she said.

The award ceremony was held in Mumbai on 10th September during the 5th Asia Business Responsibility Summit that also discussed the sustainable development goals, global governance and leadership. The Jury made a special mention about the Women Empowerment, Water Management and Skill Development initiatives by the Ambuja Foundation.

Ambuja Foundation, which recently marked its Silver Jubilee year, has stepped up its efforts to further strengthen and expand its unique interventions while seeking greater collaborations. It has been going beyond CSR activities and recognised as a grassroots pan-India implementing organisation that harnesses the power of partnerships - between communities, Government and other like-minded corporates and NGOs - to help solve pressing community problems and foster prosperity.
