Youth Build Careers, with SEDI

Chandrakant Sahu is one of our successful trainees from SEDI. Mr. Chandrakant Sahu is a resident of Paraspai Viilage in Dharsiwa. Belonging to an economically backward family, Chandrakant became very disappointed when he had to discontinue his studies due to financial constraints faced by his family. As part of a joint family with very small agricultural land holdings, Chandrakant started working as an electrical helper under a contractor. Despite having worked as an electrical helper for a year, he did not have an experience certificate, which restricted his professional growth.


Chandrakant got information regarding SEDI, from community volunteers and took admission after exploring the courses. During his 4 month training in Ambuja Foundation, he was not only trained in electricals but also received training in Industrial Panel Wiring, Motor Winding, Rewinding, RAC, and Home Appliances too. Training in different domains enhanced his capacity and capabilities to work.


As a result, Chandrakant was hired by Bhagwati Power and Steel, Silistra, Raipur as a Technician with a Gross Salary of 13,000 per month. Having found an avenue for a secure and sustainable future Chandrakant is content with his job and happy learning new things.
