A Week of Awards at Ambuja Foundation

On the occassion of Women’s Day, Ambuja Foundation was celebrated across locations for its work on community development, health, water and women empowerment.


Ambuja Foundation Rabriyawas was recognized for its CSR activities especially for its work on women empowerment at a district level event. The team was recognized and awarded the Indira Mahila Shakti Promotion and Honor Award by the Assistant Director of Women’s Empowerment Department, Pali. Ambuja Foundation’s Deputy General Manager, Manoj Agarwal was also honoured for his exemplary work during the Townhall of the Muncipal Council, Pali. In the presence of dignitaries from the district and women empowerment council, Ambuja Foundation was appreciated for its welfare projects in the community of Rabriyawas.

Ambuja Foundation’s Skilling Centre in Chirawa also received the Indira Mahila Shakti Samman Award for its outstanding work as the Best Skilling Institute in the field of Women Empowerment. Dignitaries from Jhunjhunu administration and the Mahila Adhikarita Vibhag graced Ambuja Foundation with the award. The centre was recognized for its work in Gender Equality ensuring 50-50% participation of male and female trainees in its courses and also encouraging women enroll in gender breaking courses like electrician, welding and security guard.


Hindustan Zinc’s Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institute which is implemented by Ambuja Foundation’s Skilling team was also awarded the Indira Mahila Shakti Protsahan Award from the Chief Minister, Government of Rajasthan for its work on Women and Girl Empowerment through skill. The award was celebrated at the State Level Program organized by the Women & Child Development Department, Jaipur.

On the community front, many institutions and beneficiaries received awards at the district and state level for their work in bringing community impacts. The Rupnagar Farmer Producer Company in Ropar received the Best Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) amongst 16 FPOs in Punjab during the State Credit Seminar organized by NABARD Chandigarh. In Bathinda, NABARD also recognized 2 women of a women’s group with the Excellent Entrepreneur Award. The CGM, NABARD honored them with silver plates and appreciation during the event. Ambuja Foundation was also awarded the Best NGO Award by KVK Bathinda for its work in the Agriculture sector in the region.


In Darlaghat, at a NABARD Women’s Day event, 3 women leaders from the Women’s Co-operative society, the Women’s Federation and the Watershed Committee were honored by the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. These women have been at the helm working to empower women and involve more and more women either in the institutions or creating platforms to voice out their opinions.
