Ambuja Foundation launches 'Pankh' - A Women's Forum

Ambuja Foundation recently launched ‘PANKH’ - a women’s forum where women at Ambuja Foundation can voice their opinions, learn and share experiences. This forum is especially designed for women members part of Ambuja Foundation's staff team.

The forum was built with the concept to tackle issues like self-confidence, women’s safety, and the pursuit of opportunities which are common issues that all women face, regardless of their situation. With women at Ambuja Foundation trained as leaders, an opportunity emerged to harness their growth and use these qualities at the grassroots.

With over 250 women contributing to the employee strength at Ambuja Foundation, many of whom have also been with the organization for the last 10-20 years, there is wealth of knowledge to leverage and share. With a strong understanding of the nuances of Ambuja Foundation, and vast experience in the development sector there is great scope for these women employees to become mentors to the younger generation - helping them find a balance and place in the industry.

“Every woman at Ambuja Foundation comes from a different background, and getting together on one common platform will create some meaningful dialogue and impact. I look forward to actively being a part of this forum and hearing the personal experiences, viewpoints and guidance our strong women have to offer,” says Pearl Tiwari, Director & CEO, Ambuja Foundation.

The virtual inaugural forum was facilitated by Anupama Khatwar, Principal of Ambuja Manovikas Kendra and Manjusha Joshi, Project Executive (Women) from Bhatapara, who kept the women employees glued to their screens with a very interactive discussion. During the launch the women were exposed to Gender breaking advertisements, quizzes, tone of voice and also seek information to help them pursue and fulfill life expectations.

The forum is scheduled to occur once in 45 days with participants opting to use the forum for self-development, skill building, education on health & safety and learning – particularly from guest speakers.

This is another way in which Ambuja Foundation is nurturing women as leaders – in both the workplace, and on ground in communities.
