OUR PRESENCE Madhya Pradesh

THE CHALLENGES

Madhya Pradesh is the second-largest state in India, covering an area of 308,244 sq. km. It has a population of 72 million (6% of India’s population), with Scheduled Tribes comprising 20.63% of the total population.

Due to the concentration of tribal communities, people are often hesitant to send their children outside the district for job placements, despite limited employment opportunities within the local market.

As a result, agriculture becomes the primary source of income. However, it remains dependent on erratic rainfall, and farmers have limited knowledge of modern techniques—leading to only two crop cycles annually.
