A grand celebration was held to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Ambuja Foundation at Ambujanagar, Gujarat (where Ambuja Foundation began its journey back in 1993) on 18th December 2017 – the first of many celebrations around the country.

Rajasthan's Public Health and Engineer Department (PHED) Minister, Shri Surendra Goyal and 'the waterman of India' Shri Rajendra Singh lauded the efforts of Ambuja Foundation in building water sufficient communities in the drought prone regions of Rajasthan at a recent event by Ambuja Foundation in Jaipur.

Today, Oghadbai K Dodiya is an important person in his village. Not only is he a forester in the Government Forest Department, but he gained additional trust and reputation when he helped solve the drinking water crisis in Dhamlej - his village.

A major public health concern of today is the growing levels of non-communicable diseases (NCD). It is now also known that NCDs are not restricted to the affluent and urban sections of the society; their prevalence has increased among the poor and the rural population is also affected almost equally.

One such event was a participatory dialogue '<b>Creating Synergies on Sustainable Production and Marketing Linkages</b>' held in New Delhi on 23^rd November 2017.

Ambuja Cements Limited was felicitated on 19^th July 2017 for receiving a 2 Good rating based on the CSR benchmarking tool developed by Times Group and KPMG.

To strengthen and foster collaborations for skill development, Ambuja Foundation organised the event 'Skill India - Enhancing Capabilities, Empowering Lives' on 15th September in Kolkata. This was a closed group meeting that aimed to provide a platform for various organisations to share their experiences in skilling, explore synergies and discuss opportunities and challenges.

Ambuja Cement Ltd was conferred with the prestigious 'CII National Water Award for Excellence in Water Management' on 5th September 2017.

Ambuja Foundation recently joined hands with Cipla Foundation to launch its first vocational training centre for the differently-abled at Ambuja Manovikas Kendra in Ropar, Punjab.

On 7th July 2017, seven hundred and fifty eight people came together in Chandrapur for Ambuja Cement's 'Mega Plantation Drive' - an initiative in line with the Maharashtra State Government's plan to plant 4 crore saplings during the year.
