In Oct 2017, Ambuja Foundation joined hands with the private sector banking giant HDFC Bank, to implement Holistic Rural Development Programs (HRDP) under their CSR initiative.

Good monitoring and evaluation can help identify when and how an organization is accomplishing its social goals. This is vital at varying points along the life cycle of a program, to not only ensure the delivery of outcomes, but also, through evidence-based approach, maximise the opportunity a programme presents to make a difference.

When a Skill Training Centre is established in a community, what is the ripple effect? How does it affect the broader community, beyond the individuals who study there? To answer these pressing questions, Ambuja Foundation decided to measure the Social Return Of Investment of 6 SEDI training centres, namely Sankrail, Nagaur, Chirawa, Kodinar, Dadri and Chandrapur, between 2015 - 2018.

Ambuja Foundation's Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) has introduced technical training programs for injured and retired Jawans at Roorkee, with the first batch at the Institute beginning in the month of May 2019.

Ambuja Foundation recently celebrated the news of Jitesh Joshi being selected as the 'Project Unit Manager of the Year' by Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) - BCGIF - Managed by IDH and has been invited to present his work on conservation of biodiversity at the Implementing Partners Meeting and Symposium in Cambodia in January 2020.

World Youth Skills Day was celebrated with gusto and in style across SEDI locations, but at the forefront was SEDI Bhatapara, launching the first ever 'women only' mason training batch, for women who are working as mason laborers or as an MNREGA laborers to develop their skills and provide them with better options for advancement.

For the women of Farrakka, chickens were bad news. Many of them had lost large sums of money investing in poultry farming with encouragement of the Government - but with limited support, training or veterinary services, the efforts were disastrous.
